A couple of years ago, while managing a youth & family ministry website, I noticed that people from all over the world were reading our blogs, watching our videos and listening to our audio posts. I was surprised to see hits from:


I thought to myself, why aren’t we as the church doing more to engage the world via the internet?

The bigger question is…have Christians used the internet for good? Or, have we hidden our light under a basket? (Ref. Matt. 5:15 NASB) I say it is time for the church to be the city on the hill when it comes to the internet. Ignorance, apathy or inaction cannot be an excuse any longer.

How could we easily, quickly and effectively have a positive influence on the internet for the glory of God?

Then it hit me. Church Blog Theory!

  • It is free.
  • It is easy.
  • It is the place where millions of seekers “walk” each day.
  • It opens doors for personal evangelism.
  • It covers the globe in seconds.
  • It is the 1st Century approach.
